(2012) composition, visual score

A composition for string quartet and musical saw, using conventional notation resolved into an innovative visual score. Comprised of three movements, each begins with a single line played on a musical saw. This single line phrase becomes a canon played by the string quartet, presented as a circular score.

Commissioned by the Red Note Ensemble for The End of the World, a site-specific theatre event, about the predicted apocalypse, 21 December 2012, Summerhall, Edinburgh.
